In this tutorial, I will show you 3 ways of installing and setting up Scala in your computer.<\/p>\n

  1. Setup Scala on IntelliJ<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Setup Scala on Eclipse IDE<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. Using Scastie Web IDE<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. Setup Scala on IntelliJ<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    To setup Scala in IntelliJ, you need to go to the preferences and select the plugins tab. This is shown below:<\/p>\n

    2. Setup Scala on Eclipse IDE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    There are two ways to install Scala inEclipse IDE<\/p>\n

    Method 1 – Using Market Place<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Step 1<\/strong> – Open Eclipse IDE<\/p>\n

    Step 2<\/strong> – Click on the Help menu and choose “Eclipse Marketplace”<\/p>\n

    (You could also find Scala IDE by entering Scala in the Search box and hitting the <Enter> key)<\/p>\n

    Step 3<\/strong> – Now open the Scala IDE link here<\/a><\/p>\n

    Step 4<\/strong> – You will see an Install button. Drag this button and drop it in the Eclipse Marketplaces you opened in Eclipse<\/p>\n

    Step 5<\/strong> – Follow the instruction to complete the installation<\/p>\n

    3. Using Scastie Web IDE<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    This tool allows you to run Scala programs on your browser. You can do this without having to install any program.<\/p>\n

    You can access Scastie from here https:\/\/scastie.scala-lang.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n
